Seattle Art Fair and AIG Extend Partnership Through 2021

July 9, 2019
When AIG became the presenting sponsor of the Seattle Art Fair in 2016, the goal was not only to support the arts scene in the region – from smaller, less-experienced enthusiasts to some of the biggest collectors in the country – but to see the fair grow and became a nationwide staple.

“The fair has evolved in several ways, and we are so gratified by the partnership” said Ron Fiamma, Global Head of Private Collections at AIG Private Client Group. “In addition to enabling the art world to deepen its appreciation of the region, we welcome the continued opportunity to help collectors get more proactive about protecting their art investments.”

The growth of the yearly event has been such that AIG has recently decided to extend its partnership with the Seattle Art Fair for an additional three years, through 2021.

Not only are they the presenting sponsor of the 2019 Seattle Art Fair but AIG has full sponsorship of the VIP After Party at MoPOP’s Sky Church. Tickets for the party can be purchased from our ticket page.

Investing in the region’s premier modern and contemporary art fair was a no-brainer for AIG and its fine art team, who clearly appreciate how diverse and invested patrons have been as the 5th iteration rapidly approaches.

“What’s unique about the Pacific Northwest, and Seattle in particular, is that they are very supportive of their local art scene – both the traditional Native American artwork, but also the young emerging artists,” said Fiamma. “We feel art fairs should be composed of many different price points for buyers across the spectrum, especially to bring new, young collectors in.”

Insuring over 80,000 individuals and families with collections of all sizes, AIG’s private client list includes over 50% of the U.S.-based collectors on ARTnews’ 2018 Top 200 Collectors list.

“We have clients all over the world; Seattle has a vibrant art community – we have a lot of clients here,” added Fiamma of the art landscape in the Emerald City. “We thought it was a great opportunity to come onto a [recently] new art fair and watch it grow from its beginnings.”

The 2019 Seattle Art Fair returns to the CenturyLink Field Event Center from August 1-4. Tickets are on sale now with a number of different experiences available.
