Northwest Partners in Glass

Presented by Pilchuck Glass School and Museum of Glass

Glass in the Pacific Northwest is fueled by artistic curiosity and collaboration. As glass evolves into a twenty-first century art medium, Museum of Glass and Pilchuck Glass School provide space for artists to expand their visions. Building a spirit of collaboration, Museum of Glass and Pilchuck began a residency partnership in 2004. Each summer, Pilchuck Artists in Residence and gaffers are invited to the Museum for a five-day solo residency to continue their artistic explorations.

Since its inception, this partnership has pushed the boundaries of glass by uplifting artists from our community and inspiring makers across disciplines to experiment with new ideas. Fine Art inventory generated by these residencies may be purchased from galleries throughout the country, infusing glass throughout the art economy. This dynamic relationship is exemplified through artworks in galleries throughout Seattle Art Fair.

Pilchuck and Museum of Glass celebrate the strength of this dynamic relationship as we continue to establish the Northwest as a center for creativity and innovation in glass.
